We’re excited to announce the Kaltura Video Conferencing app for Kaltura Meetings, Kaltura Virtual Classroom, and Kaltura Webinars.

The open beta launch features:

• Join a room as a guest
• Interact using high quality video and audio from anywhere in the world
• Ask questions, raise your hand, catch up on notes, or chat with others
• Follow the whiteboard action up close by zooming in & out and following annotations
• Watch videos together and chat in real time
• Follow along a shared presentation, PDF, or image
• Vote on polls and find out what everyone else is thinking
• Deep linking - Automatically open the app when accessing a room via the browser

The app is available to download on iOS and Android.

In our last newsletter, we announced the upcoming release of a new transcoding profile. The new profile was released on August 15th and is applied to all content ingested from Zoom.

The new profile provides more efficient transcoding and quality playback experience.

Roll out will be automatically applied to content ingested from both legacy Zoom integration and the new marketplace integration for all content created on August 15th and beyond. This release will not impact end users and does not require any action on the Admin side.

If you’re a Kaltura Virtual Events customer, this is for you. Imagine that you’re gearing up for your event staring down at a list of your attendees or VIP invitees and wondering how to reach out to them. Look no further because as of today we have answers!

The new event invitation flow enables you to easily get your list of attendees registered for your event with a simple password set-up and confirmation email.

As of today you can set a signature template to your messages. The signature is set one time and re-usable in all future messages. The message signature will be appended to the Pitch message body both on the email and landing page.

You can find the new Message Signature setting as a new option in Email Appearance under your user profile.
