As the global workforce has gone largely digital, so have the jobs of marketers and event organizers. In-person events are still largely on hold and their staying power remains unclear. While the future is uncertain, the shift to a digital mindset and with it, a digital toolset, is very clear. Whatever the new normal will be, it won’t be anything like our pre-2020 expectations. We surveyed 1250+ global marketers, event organizers, and event attendees about how they’ve approached events since the pandemic, what the virtual/hybrid experience has been like, and their expectations for 2022.
